MERINANNIES
ARE IN THE PINK
Merinannies are in the pink this winter. Not only
are they celebrating 10 years in business with a new website, extended service
and best childcare company award, but they have eyecatching new uniforms
including a bright pink polo shirt.
These are nannies who specialise in ensuring the
youngest members of the family have a wonderful snowy holiday while parents
enjoy their passion for snowsports. Their hours are flexible and they are
qualified to look after babies from four months old up to teenagers of
14.
Mother-of-two Katia Koumantou is the power behind
Merinannies and founded the company after her family’s first skiing holiday to
Meribel when her children Joshua and Christina were four and five years old.
“My children inspired the whole thing,” said Katia.
“Skiing as a family is great fun, but sometimes it can be hard work too. I
became passionate about providing the kind of care I wanted to receive myself. Merinannies
are there to ensure everyone gets the most of their holiday – and it’s not
about feeling guilty. Our nannies work flexible hours by arrangement so that
everyone is happy.”
Nannies are qualified and experienced, many SEN
trained and bilingual, CRB and reference checked, first aid qualified and come
with a wealth of things for children to do whatever the age and whatever the
weather.
Katia personally travels to check and handpick the
resorts in which the business operates and this season has added Ischgl in the
Austrian Tirol, plus the French resorts of Samoens/Morillon to her
existing resorts of Meribel, Courchevel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Chamonix,
Megeve, St Gervais in France and St Anton in Tirol, Austria.
The Best Childcare Company Award was presented to
Katia by SnowVole, a forum for skiers by skiers, earlier this month
(November).
